Amala (Yoruba Yam Swallow)

Āmālā is a preparation native to the Yoruba people of Nigeria. It is made out of yam flour, cassava flour, and/or unripe plantain flour. It can be served with a variety of soups, such as efo riro, okro (ila), ewedu soup, ogbono, or gbegiri (black-eyed beans soup).
